Ashlynn Martinez is a high school student at Alcona Community Schools. Her aunt is an employee here and Ashlynn comes in with her and is an extreme and wonderful help! It's always nice to see her smiling face!

As we all know, a nonprofit business needs all the extra help that it can get! Here at the Alcona Humane Society our volunteers are a very important part of this shelter and we depend on them daily whether it is with cleaning, fundraisers, or just socializing with the animals. The volunteers, as well as staff and animals, make this place a lovely organization to spend your extra time!

We are currently looking for anyone who is 13 years or older who would be interested in volunteering their time. All you have to do is come in and grab a volunteer waiver form, fill it out and set a time that you would like to come in. If you are under 13, you must be accompanied by an adult but you are more than welcome to volunteer! We would love to have you!

We can't thank the current volunteers enough for their continued support of this shelter. They truly are a blessing to us. The animals show true gratitude when they know they are getting loved on and walked by volunteers! Please consider joining us to help make our animals feel at home and safe!
